This picture to the left is a great example of a spring/summer trend, that is becoming quite popular this year. There are many different aspects to this outfit, so I will break it down. First off, the dress: the minty green color is very popular this year because it is very pastel like and super springy! Something relatively new to this year, is the introduction of the Hi-Lo hem line. As you can see, the front of the dress is just above the knees, while the back of the dress falls just below the knees. It's a new trend that I've been loving. Next is the belt; accentuating the thinest part of the waist (empire waist) is very slimming to any figure. Lastly the accessories, the adorable white Chanel purse along with the white wedges. The subtle pop of white makes the dress stand out, and makes the entire look appear soft and springy!
Another trend that has been all over tumblr pages and magazines lately is the ombre trend. This can be seen in all different styles such as hair, nails and clothing items. Here to the left, is a dress printed with two different colors that effortlessly blend in to one, and then back out into the original color. This is seen on many different types of clothes, from shirts to pants, and can be done with many different colors. The ombre trend is something that will continue to be worn by many people this spring and summer because of it's youthful and colorful simplicity. The trend is being worn by runway models and is currently being sold at every store from Nordstrom to Forever 21. As the style becomes more popular, people are even dying their hair with different colors at the tips, called "dip-dying", which creates the ombre affect on the ends of the hair.
